Celia Muñoz Segura.
This award winning Spanish soprano began her stage career as a Shakespearean actress. She has performed major roles as Juliet more than a hundred times.
Her wonderful speaking voice led to taking up singing. She has received diplomas in singing at the Conservatorio de Música Teresa Berganza in Madrid, Spain, and at the prestigious Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland.
She has been awarded many prizes, such as scholarships from the Finnish Cultural Foundation and the Sibelius Academy, as well as a grant from the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
Many roles are part of her repertoire: The spectacular Queen of the Night, from Mozart’s Zauberflöte, La Fèe in Viardot’s Cendrillon in the Sonore Concert of Helsinki, Olympia in Les Contes des Hofmann by Offenbach, among others.
She has sung Oratorios such as Carmina Burana, with the Kappubandi Orchestra of Helsinki. Under the baton of Maestro Atso Almila or Messiah and the Vesperae Solemnes under the auspices of the Organ Festival of Helsinki.
